Bouchaib El Bidaoui, a full artist

Local residents of Foukara district remember Sundays when the radio repairer hung to street electric posts, loud speakers in order to listen to El Bidaoui sketches, accompanied with violin played by Marechal Kibbou. This is what remains in the memories of Moroccan who were close to El Bidaoui’s neighbourhood and wanted to save.

Bouchaib El Bidaoui and his troupe had the habit to produce in the Verdun cinema, located in the place of same name in Casablanca, sometimes in Baladiah square. Marrying a career of actor and humorist, Bouchaib El Bidaoui was too and mainly a popular singer. He was associated with musical style called “Aïta”

In his singer role, Bouchaib El Bidaoui had the competence of singing “Aâyoute” marsaoui where he triumphed with hits. Bouchaïb El Bidaoui, as an actor, excelled in popular theatre in a “natural” style, in particular with Al Bisat, a show style called “Al halka”.
