Asmahan was a Syrian artist born as Amel El Atrach, in Lebanon, on November 25, 1918. She died in Egypt, in 1944. She was the daughter of the Syrian Druze prince Fahd Elatrach and the sister of the great musician and legend Farid Elatrach.
