Alekhwa is a band of oriental music from Muharraq, Bahrain.
Created in 1986 by singer and guitarist Ali Bahar, their influences are pop, reggae and Latin rhythms. In the beginning, the group was called “The Stone,” but became “Alekhwa” which in French means “brothers”.
